About Rina
Rina Chia is a wife, mother and the entrepreneurial brains behind Take 2 Markets. (That's her in the photo with Jack Wegman, the Mayor of Boroondara at the award presentation). She and her family live in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Rina has always had a passion for fashion and recycling, and now she has made a successful career out of combining both, and helped thousands of women along the way. Rina well appreciates the logistics and expense in raising a family, having a career and the many relationships that go with this.
Rina is a long time market devotee, frequent op shopper and expert bargain hunter. She loves the excitement of not knowing what treasure may be lurking and enjoys meeting other people out on the prowl for a good bargain. Rina knows a bargain when she sees one.
Rina loves the environmental benefits of recycling clothing and the benefits to her wallet. Determined to create the best possible selling and shopping environment for her customers, Rina constantly strives to make each event grander than the one before and does this with a friendly smile, vivacious energy and approachable style.
She is working towards expanding the Take 2 Markets’ concept far and wide. When Take 2 Markets commenced in 2007 it was a fairly new concept and now recycled fashion and market shopping are part of a new wave of consumer consciousness and a great place to get a fabulous bargain. The recent financial woes saw Take 2 Markets well placed to give women an avenue to make some extra cash from selling unwanted clothing, and shoppers reaped the rewards with the great bargain fashions on offer.
When Rina is not bargain hunting or busy running Take 2 Markets she loves reading, cinema, skiing, surfing, walking and spending time with family & friends. She loves cooking but prefers eating.
